Within this teaser trailer, genetic iconography was found such as there being the typical victim in horror films and the ‘psychopath’. In many horror films, there always seems to be someone to the rescue, which was featured in this trailer and many people murdered. Colours were used in the trailer to signify something bad such as the colours red and black. Locations were eerie and the music had a typical scary feel to it to create atmosphere and suspense. This trailer has used genetic iconography to make it a typical horror film.

This trailer consists of the typical iconography outcome using the characters as victims, protagonists, and the main villain. There are many films like this one, being supernatural and using terrifying images and lettering to scare its audiences. The colours featured in this trailer are dark and with a chilling blue which puts you on edge. Many supernatural films use colours such as blacks and electric blues to create the supernatural feel. The typical sound tracking to this trailer is like any other, frightening, chilling and tension building.

In this particular trailer, again it has the typical victims and the psychotic protagonist but in this case, the protagonist being possessed. It is again a supernatural film with a supernatural feel to it containing dark colours, eerie locations and terrifying screams. Many horror films have eerie locations and a person screaming as it all adds to the suspense and the tension building of the film.
In looking at the trailers more, we have learnt new ways of making our film better by looking at our characters a bit more, the colours used, and our locations and how they would fit with the genetic iconography
In the trailers that I have watched and analysed, I have noticed that as the trailer goes on, it speeds up, but slows down when revealing the title of the film. This will be helpful when we come to do our teaser trailer.
